2. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of Argon News, including access to free content and any paid subscription you take out. By using Argon News, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of Argon News after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

3. The Service

Argon News is an AI-assisted news aggregation platform that surfaces and clusters news stories from third-party sources. We do not originate news content. We provide tools to read, filter, and explore coverage from a range of outlets.

We offer two tiers of access:

• Free tier: Limited access to aggregated news content, subject to fair use.
• Paid subscription: Full access to features, including personalisation, expanded coverage, and any premium functionality listed on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time. Where changes materially affect paid subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice.

4. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the interval you select (monthly or annually).

• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each calendar month.
• Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year.

Prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable VAT. VAT is applied in accordance with UK and EU digital services regulations based on your location at the time of purchase.

You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until that date.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give paid subscribers at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect, and you may cancel before the new price applies.

6. Refund Policy

You have the right to cancel your subscription and receive a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal date (your statutory cooling-off period under UK and EU consumer law).

To request a refund, contact us at support@engramic.ai within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

After the 14-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

All third-party news content surfaced by Argon News remains the intellectual property of the original publishers. We do not claim ownership of that content.

Argon News's own interface, design, clustering logic, summaries, and platform infrastructure are the intellectual property of Engramic Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the platform
• Use automated tools to access the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

9. Content Liability

Argon News aggregates content from third-party news sources. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of third-party content. News articles linked or summarised on the platform reflect the views of their original publishers, not Engramic Ltd.

We apply editorial curation to source selection but cannot guarantee the accuracy of every article surfaced. You should exercise your own judgement when acting on information found through Argon News.

10. Warranties and Disclaimers

Argon News is provided 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, Engramic Ltd makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. Planned or emergency maintenance may result in temporary unavailability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Engramic Ltd's total liability to you in connection with these terms or your use of Argon News shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity.

12. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at argon.news/privacy.

Your data is processed on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, hosted within the Western Europe region (data centres in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Portugal). Cloudflare acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Addendum; details are available at cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa.

Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is not stored on Argon News infrastructure. Stripe's privacy practices are set out at stripe.com/privacy.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Argon News shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
